ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan field hockey program announced its schedule for the upcoming 2025 season -- the first under newly named head coach Kristi Gannon Fisher -- on Monday (May 5), featuring a challenging 16-game regular-season slate, including nine home games at Phyllis Ocker Field.
Michigan will face three teams that participated in last season's NCAA Tournament, including two Final Four participants in North Carolina and NCAA champion Northwestern. U-M again will open the season against UNC and Wake Forest at the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge (Aug. 29-31), held this season in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Wolverines will open Big Ten Conference play at home against in-state rival Michigan State on Friday, Sept. 19, and will host three additional conference matches at Ocker Field -- Penn State (Oct. 3), Rutgers (Oct. 5) and Indiana (Oct. 31). Admission at Ocker Field is free for all regular-season home games.
Indiana will host the Big Ten Tournament, Nov. 6-9, in Bloomington, Ind. The first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament will be held on campus sites Nov. 14-16, while the semifinals and championship game are slated for Nov. 21-23 in Durham, N.C.
