Notes
• Michigan started the 2025 season with a record 1-0-1 after drawing with Notre Dame on Thursday (Aug. 21), before defeating UC Riverside on Sunday (Aug. 24).
• Quin Rogers scored twice in the win over UC Riverside, finding the back of the net once in each half. The tallies mark the first for the graduate student since 2023 after missing the entire 2024 campaign due to injury.
• After being named a Big Ten Player to Watch, graduate student Shuma Sasaki started his Michigan tenure with a goal to help the Maize and Blue earn a 1-1 tie against Notre Dame. Sasaki followed up by drawing a penalty in the 2-0 triumph over UC Riverside.
• U-M has tallied double-digit shots in both games to start the season, launching 13 shots against Notre Dame and 16 against UC Riverside.Â
• Michigan's defense is allowing just one goal and three shots on target in 180 minutes of game action.
• The Wolverines are undefeated through the first two matches of the season -- marking the third straight season -- and fifth in the last six years that U-M has played the first two games without a loss. Â
• U-M will match up with Creighton for the fourth time in program history with the Bluejays leading the series, 2-1. Michigan is set for its 16th meeting with Bowling Green, and the Wolverines own a 7-6-2 lead in the all-time series. Â
• Next up, Michigan will hit the road for the first time in 2025 when it travels to Rochester Hills, Mich., to take on Oakland on Friday, Sept. 5. Â
