
Michigan Men to Finish Regular Season vs. Denison for Senior Day Maize Out

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 12-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team (5-2) will return home to host Denison (5-2) at noon on Saturday (Jan. 31) at Canham Natatorium, and the will be streamed live on B1G+. Saturday's contest will be a Maize Out, with beanies and poms available to fans in attendance.
Notes
• Michigan is coming off a rivalry loss to 10th-ranked Ohio State, 133-167, on Jan. 17 in Columbus. The Wolverines will look to get back to their winning ways against Denison while also celebrating the nine seniors on the roster for their accomplishments in Ann Arbor and beyond.
• Luka Mladenovic was honored with his fourth Big Ten Freshman of the Week award on Jan. 21 after winning the 100-yard breaststroke and placing second in the 200 breast by just a half-second. He holds a top-three spot in both of those events, including the best time in the Big Ten for the 100 breast.
• Lorne Wigginton added a victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 8:54.01. Wigginton has been successful in long-distance events all season, holding top-10 conference times in the 500 and 1,000 free events.
• A 2025 All-American, Colin Geer picked up a win in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:43.85, nearly two seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Geer won the Big Ten title in the 200 fly at last year's Big Ten Championships.
• Ole Eidam touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 43.10 seconds and also holds a top-10 conference spot in that event
• The quartet of Jack Wilkening, Mladenovic, Tyler Ray, and Eidam opened the meet against the Buckeyes with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. U-M has done well in relays all season, holding a top-three spot in the conference in every team event in which it has competed.
• Michigan will face off against Denison for the first time in program history on Saturday and will look to add to its win total heading into the postseason.
