
Wolverines to Kick Off Postseason at Big Ten Indoor Championships

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team will open the postseason at the Big Ten Indoor Championships from Thursday through Saturday (Feb. 26-28) at Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis, Ind. The meet will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Competition will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday and Friday with the heptathlon and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday with the pole vault.
• Michigan moved up to No. 1 in the Great Lakes Region in the latest USTFCCCA Rankings after spending two weeks at No. 2.
• The mile run squad (Trent McFarland, Brendan Herger, Henry Dixon and Riley Flemington) comes in at No. 6 in the NCAA with an average time of 3:55.54. The 800-meter run event squad (Camden Law, John O'Reilly, Miles Brown and Dixon) is also No. 6 in the NCAA with an average time of 1:47.95.
• U-M finished eighth at the 2025 Big Ten Indoor Championships, achieving 35 points.
• McFarland won gold in the mile run (4:03.56), setting the meet record in the preliminaries with a 3:59.29. Jonathan Miles placed seventh in the mile (4:06.36) and the duo combined for 12 points.
• John McNeil contributed nine points with a sixth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 7.50 meters (24 feet, 7.25 inches) and a third-place finish in the high jump (2.16m/7-1).
• Law scored four points, placing fifth in the 800-meter run (1:48.29), while O'Reilly scored two points with a seventh-place finish in the 600-meter run (1:17.18).
• In the triple jump, Tianhao Wei saw a seventh-place finish with a mark of 15.28m (50-1.75).
• The 4x400-meter relay team of Krish Gupta, Brown, Jacob Koerner, and Jack Juds ran a 3:08.81 for a third place finish.
