ORLANDO, Fla. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team closed out its outdoor-opening UCF Black and Gold Invitational on Saturday (March 21) at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex, setting one top-10 program record.
Camden Law ran a personal-best time of 1:46.71 in the 800-meter run, finishing first and posting the No. 5 time on the program performers list. Jonathan Miles placed ninth (1:50.66) and Aiden Sullivan placed 11th (1:50.72).
A pair of Wolverines finished in the top 10 of the 100-meter dash, with Jake Machiniak placing eighth (10.55 seconds) and Amit Rutman placing ninth (10.60). Rutman's time is a personal best.
Will Barhite finished 11th in the 400-meter dash (47.49), while Nick Butler-Simpson finished 23rd (48.33).
In the 110-meter hurdles, Tyler Baker ran a personal-best 15.27 for an 18th-place finish. Zane Forist earned a second-place finish in the discus throw with a mark of 52.86 meters (196 feet, 4 inches).
U-M will remain on the road, splitting between the Raleigh Relays at NC State from March 26-28 and the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational at Miami from March 27-28.
