MIAMI, Fla. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team opened its second meet of the weekend on Friday (March 27) at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational hosted by Miami at Cobb Stadium.
Josh Huisman finished 10th in the hammer throw with a mark of 49.93 meters (163 feet, 9 inches), while Zane Forist finished seventh in the discus throw with a season-best mark of 53.05m (174-0).
In the pole vault, Cole Sheldon cleared 4.62m (15-1.75) to tie for seventh.
U-M will close the weekend across two sites on Saturday (March 28), competing at the Raleigh Relays and the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational. Action in Miami will begin at 11 a.m. with the high jump, and U-M's day in Raleigh, N.C., will start at 3:45 p.m. with the 800-meter run.
