
Four Men’s Swimmers Earn Qualifying Cuts at Last Chance Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Five swimmers from the No. 10-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team hit the pool Saturday (March 7) for one final opportunity to earn NCAA qualification at the Last Chance Meet at Canham Natatorium.
First up, Ryan Healy competed in the 400-yard IM and clocked a qualifying time of 3:43.76 as he looks to secure a place at the NCAA Championships.
Jaeddan Gamilla and Ozan Kalafat raced in the 100-yard breaststroke. Gamilla won his heat in 52.34, while Kalafat touched in 52.67. Gamilla's time met the NCAA qualifying standard, and he returned for a second swim, improving to 52.11.
Inbar Danziger competed in the 200-yard backstroke and posted a time of 1:41.30, just five one-hundredths of a second off his personal best and under the NCAA qualifying cut.
Joshua Brown registered a season-best time of 14:55.79 in the 1,650-yard freestyle to earn an NCAA qualifying mark.
Next up, Michigan's divers will make the short trip to Ypsilanti, Mich., for the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships. The three-day meet begins Monday (March 9) at noon inside Jones Natatorium.
