
U-M Set for Trip to Spec Towns Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 11-ranked University of Michigan men's track and field team will head to Athens, Ga., for the Spec Towns Invitational, Thursday through Saturday (April 9-11) at the Spec Towns Track. Action will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday and at noon on Friday and Saturday.
Notes
• The Wolverines sit at No. 11 in the latest USTFCCCA rankings, ranking No. 7 in the Big Ten and No. 2 in the Great Lakes Region.
• The 800-meter run event squad (Camden Law, Miles Brown, Trent McFarland and John O'Reilly) and the 1,500-meter run squad (McFarland, Brendan Herger, Henry Dixon, Aiden Sullivan) both remain No. 1 in the NCAA.
• Michigan remains on the road after competing at the Florida Relays hosted by Florida on April 3-4.
• The 4x100-meter relay squad of Amit Rutman, Jake Machiniak, Krish Gupta and Corey Royster finished seventh in the preliminary round with a time of 40.03 seconds and was fifth in the finals (40.08). The preliminary time comes in at the No. 3 spot on the program performers list.
• Machiniak ran 10.42 in the 100-meter dash for the No. 7 mark on the program performers list, while Royster ran a personal best of 10.60.
• Brayden Kennedy ran a personal-best 53.77 in the 400-meter hurdles.
• Quincy Isaac and Jake Wall made their season debuts in the long jump, placing sixth (7.23 meter/23 feet, 8.75 inches) and ninth (7.03m/23-0.75), respectively.
• The Mazie and Blue will split between the Wake Forest Invitational on Thursday and Friday, April 16-17, and the Big Red Classic on Friday and Saturday, April 17-18.
