
O’Tey Breaks 200m Record as Wolverines Post Eight Top-10 Marks at Duke Twilight

DURHAM, N.C. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team closed out its regular-season road slate Sunday (May 3) at Morris Williams Stadium, recording one program record and eight top-10 marks on the program performers list.
Keyanna O'Tey ran a personal-best 11.30 (+2.3m/s) in the 100-meter dash to finish third. The time would have set a program record if wind legal. O'Tey later broke the 200-meter dash program record, winning the event in 23.00 to better the previous standard by 0.08 seconds.
Payton Smith ran a personal-best 51.77 in the 400-meter dash to finish second and move to No. 2 on the program list. Trinity Henderson also posted a personal best, finishing sixth (54.43), while Alyssa Bean placed eighth (54.58).
Smith added another top-10 mark in the 200-meter dash, finishing sixth with a personal-best 23.41 to rank No. 6 on the program list. Myla Wilkes followed in ninth with a season-best 23.62.
Sidney Green placed third in the 400-meter hurdles with a season-best 57.09, just 0.13 seconds shy of her personal best. Freshman Sydney Glee posted a personal-best 59.12 to rank No. 10 on the program list.
Emmry Ross finished sixth in the 800-meter run with a personal-best 2:02.13, good for No. 4 on the program list. Samantha Hastie placed 17th (2:06.10), matching her season best, while Alyna Lewis finished 21st with a season-best 2:07.95.
Hannah Pricco recorded the No. 6 time in program history in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing second in 10:04.56. Brooke Johnston placed fourth in the 5,000-meter run with a personal-best 16:05.93, narrowly missing the program list.
A pair of Wolverines added top-10 marks in the long jump. Amare Harlan won the event with a 6.37m (20-10.75) effort, ranking No. 4, while Kourtney Rathke finished fifth (6.08m, 19-11.5) to rank No. 9.
In the shot put, Elizabeth Tapper won with a 16.72m (54-10.25) throw, while Abigail Russell placed second (16.71m, 54-10). Trinity Franklin added a seventh-place finish (14.68m, 48-2).
Russell also finished second in the discus throw with a 52.30m (171-7). Gabriella Newman tied her personal best in the high jump, clearing 1.75m (5-8.75) to win the event.
The Wolverines will host the Len Paddock Open on Friday (May 8) at the U-M Outdoor Track to close out the regular season.
