- Title:
- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Colin Nesdale is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the U-M lacrosse program.
A 2016 graduate of Quinnipiac University, Nesdale most recently served as an undergraduate coach for the Bobcats during the 2016, working primarily with the goalkeeping unit, and also lending a hand with the defense for the Bobcat squad that finished No. 18 in the country after earning its first NCAA Tournament berth in school history after winning the MAAC Regular Season Championship.
In his season with the Bobcats, he played an instrumental role in the defensive excellence of Jack Brust, who earned second team All-MAAC honors, ranked No. 5 in the NCAA in save percentage (58 percent), and was also honored with MAAC Tournament Most Outstanding Player accolades. Defensively, the unit allowed only 8.7 goals a game to rank in the top-20 in the country.
As a player, Nesdale started his freshman season at Binghamton before transferring to Quinnipiac for his final three seasons of eligibility, and served as a starter for the Bobcats his senior season.
The son of Leigh and Joseph Nesdale, he earned a finance degree with an economics minor upon his graduation.
Nesdale will head coach the goalies at U-M, as well as run the box during games. Additionally, he is the head coach of Ann Arbor based GBL Lacrosse.
