- Volunteer Assistant (Diving)
Gabby Han is in her second year as volunteer assistant for the University of Michigan men's and women's swimming and diving program, having previously worked with the program for the 2015-16 season. She will assist Mike Hilde with the men's and women's divers.
A native of Plainwell, Mich., Han was a standout diver at the University of New Mexico (2009-12). In 2012, she was named Mountain West Women's Diver of the Year, and was also an NCAA All-America honorable mention, finishing 16th on the one-meter springboard. She also won conference titles on both one-meter and three-meter as a senior. Han was a four-time All-Mountain West Conference selection, and was twice named the team's Most Valuable Diver. While at New Mexico, Han dove at the 2013 and 2015 World Championship Trials, and qualified for finals at two separate USA Diving National Championships (one-meter in 2011, three-meter in 2012).
Han comes to Michigan after serving as an assistant coach at Kalamazoo College and with the Western Michigan Diving Association. Prior to that, she was assistant coach for the New Mexico Diving Club, and spent one year as a graduate assistant coach at her alma mater.
