PJ Bellantoni enters his second season on the Michigan women's basketball staff as the video coordinator in 2022-23. He spent three seasons as the video coordinator at Appalachian State prior to moving to Ann Arbor.
Bellantoni joined the staff full-time at App State in June 2018 after spending the 2017-18 season as a student assistant. While at App State, Bellantoni was responsible for videotaping both home and away games, as well as practices. He utilized Sportscode to analyze, code and prepare scouting reports for coaches in advance of upcoming games. He supervised logistics for the program's managers and scout team members, while also devising and implementing individual workouts with a concentrated focus on point guards.
Bellantoni also worked with the Charlotte Hornets during his time in North Carolina, working as an All-Star Weekend youth coach. He assisted members of the Hornets and NBA officials with drills and activities for the youth camp participants, while also serving as a coach during camp games.
As a student assistant during the 2017-18 season, he worked with the coaching staff to prepare video footage for team and player usage. He worked with the student-athletes in individual and group workouts, while also demonstrating plays and drills during scheduled practice time.
Also during his undergraduate time, he was the team president and founder of the Appalachian State men's club basketball team and spent time as the head coach of Watauga Warriors Athletics.
Bellantoni graduated from Appalachian State with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing in December 2017.
