Brett Sickler enters her fourth season as an assistant coach for the Wolverines. Serving as U-M's lead assistant, Sickler spearheads the recruiting efforts for the Maize and Blue while also overseeing the novice program.

In each of Sickler's three years as an assistant coach Michigan has finished on the medal stand at the Big Ten Championships -- third in 2010, second in 2011 and earning the program's first Big Ten title in eight years in 2012. The Wolverines have also qualified for three straight NCAA Championships, capturing a 2V8 national title and a runner-up team finish in 2012.
A 2005 U-M graduate, she was a highly decorated student-athlete and is quite accomplished on the international scene. Sickler is a three-time member of the USRowing senior national team and served as a Team USA alternate at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She has won two gold medals in the eight at the FISA World Championships (2006-07) and is a world record holder in the event. In 2006, she finished 12th in double sculls at the World Championships. In World Cup competition, she won gold in 2006 and 2007. Sickler also earned the 2006 Remenham Cup at the 2006 Henley Royal Regatta.
At U-M, Sickler was a three-time member of the first varsity eight, rowing with the second varsity eight during her freshman year. As a senior, she earned All-Big Ten second team honors. She helped U-M finish third in the first varsity eight at the 2004 NCAA Championships and finished second in the first varsity eight at the 2003 NCAA Championships.
