Caroline Pearson joined the Michigan Volleyball staff as a volunteer assistant coach during the summer of 2019.Â
During her collegiate career as a setter, Pearson played at Arizona State where she saw action in 42 sets, tallied 250 total assists and handed out 46 assists against Oakland.Â
Following two years in Tempe, Pearson joined the Clemson volleyball team in 2017. She totaled a career-high 57 assists against Bethune-Cookman (Aug. 25, 2017), the most by a Clemson player in a four-set match since 2007. Pearson led the team in assists (475) and assists per set (7.20) on the season.Â
In addition to her collegiate career, Pearson was a member of the USA Volleyball Junior National A1 Program and spent time training with the Canadian National team during the summer of 2018. She has experience as a camp coach and also served as a coach with the Phoenix Special Olympics in 2016 and 2017.
Pearson earned a bachelor's degree in Sports Communications from Clemson in 2018 and is currently enrolled at the University of Michigan in pursuit of a Master's of Science in Sport Management.
She is a Chicago native and comes from an athletic family. Her father, Ted, played ice hockey collegiately at Wisconsin before a professional career; her uncle, Mel, is the head coach of the Michigan ice hockey program.Â
