Dominic Haywood enters the first season of his second stint coaching the Michigan cheer team, as he previously served as assistant coach from 2013-16. He cheered at Michigan for two seasons (2011-13) and served as team captain as a senior (2012-13). In his senior season, Haywood was part of Michigan's 2013 National Cheerleaders Association national championship team.
As a member of the cheer team, Haywood cheered at the Outback Bowl (2013), the Crisler Center rededication ceremony (2013) and during the men's basketball run to the national championship game throughout the NCAA basketball tournament. He graduated from U-M in 2013 with a degree in earth and environmental sciences.
