Jared McMahon

Jared McMahon enters his second season with the Wolverines after being hired in October 2024. McMahon came to Michigan from Bucknell University and works primarily with the faceoff unit and goalies as the Wolverines' third assistant coach.
In his first year with U-M, McMahon helped junior Jack Rideout to a new personal-best .453 faceoff percentage while senior Nick Lauderback won a new career-high 42 faceoffs under McMahon's leadership. Junior goalie Hunter Taylor also thrived in goal picking up two Big Ten Specalist of the Week nods while posting the lowest goals-against average in program history (9.34) and a new career-high .528 save percentage.Â

McMahon served as an assistant coach at Bucknell for the 2024 campaign where he worked with the faceoff unit, goalies and defense as he focused on technical skills, communication and working with the scout team.

Prior to his time with Bucknell, McMahon served as a head coach for 2 Knights Lacrosse where he coached different teams for five years. During his time with 2 Knights Lacrosse, he worked with players ranging from 7th-12th grade to develop and elevate their games.

McMahon played collegiate lacrosse at Mount St. Mary’s University where he was a two-time captain, a first team Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference selection and finished his career ranked in the top 20 in program history in points, goals and assists. He was also a Presidential Scholarship recipient, a member of the North East Conference Division I All-Rookie Team and a North vs. South All-Star selection.Â
