Q U O T E S
Michigan Head Coach Cheryl Burnett
On the end result ... "We're never satisfied with losing, but I am a coach that believes that the effort is there, that we are at least trying to get better. That is what I am all about, but at the same time I believe those things result in victories."
On the game ... "I thought our kids did a great job of fighting back to get into the game. There was a period in the first half where offensively we were extremely stagnant. That has been one of our biggest frustrations. In the second half and certainly at the end of the game, we had the ball in the hands of the right people. I told Tabitha (Pool) that I want take her taking that shot at the end of the game, and she'll still be the one who is taking that shot."
On Tabitha Pool ... "Tabitha has just played so well for us all year. When the crowd gets loud and we gain the momentum, she is at her very, very best. We really want this environment here at Michigan for Tab's senior year. At least we made it exciting enough that maybe people will want to come back, but we'd rather come down with a win. I think Tabitha plays better when it is an exciting environment."
U-M Senior Forward Tabitha Pool
On the game ... "I think we came out strong in the first half, and then they went on that run late in the half. Then we came out strong in the second half, and that is what we have got to do for 40 minutes. Then we'll win more ballgames. If we stay together like we did tonight, we'll win more."
