Varsity Eight Finishes Seventh at Head of the Charles

BOSTON -- The University of Michigan women's rowing team received a seventh-place finish from its varsity eight crew in the Women's Championship Eight division at the 41st annual Head of the Charles on Sunday (Oct. 23). The Wolverines' four placed ninth overall in the Women's Championship Four division. Both finishes were identical to those from U-M at the 2004 Head of the Charles regatta.
With a time of 17:25.970, the varsity eight finished fourth among its collegiate counterparts. The Wolverines' four was the sixth U.S. college boat to cross the finish line, clocking in at 20:03.128.
