Season Opener Cancelled Due to Poor Lake Conditions

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 4-ranked University of Michigan women's rowing team will have to wait a week to begin its 2005 spring season as freezing temperatures and ice on the course have made U-M's scheduled season opener impossible for Saturday (March 19). The Wolverines were to have hosted Notre Dame at Belleville Lake in Belleville, Mich.
Michigan will take part in its first competition on March 26 at the ACC/Big Ten Double Dual in Columbus, Ohio. U-M will have its first home event of the season on Saturday, April 2, when it hosts Ohio State.
