Iowa Head Coach Gayle Blevins
On the mistakes ... "Our defense was a little ragged, but the good thing was that we didn't make back-to-back mistakes. If you have an error, you have to make that next play. That's the one good thing about our defense today -- behind our mistakes, we were able to rebound and took care of the next play."
On Lisa Birocci ... "Birocci gave us a great effort. She's been pitching really well for us and gives us a chance to win every time she steps on the mound. [Northwestern's] got a very fine team with a lot of really good hitters and any time they can explode on you. To control that lineup, it's a big confidence booster for her."
