Marosevic, who played in all 19 games with 17 starts, was the first freshman in U-M history to lead the team in points (12) and goals (5). He became the first Wolverine freshman to earn all-tournament honors in the Michigan Invitational, tallying two goals on the weekend to give the Maize and Blue its second consecutive title in the tournament. The Rockford, Ill., native was named Big Ten co-Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 25, making him the U-M rookie freshman to receive the weekly honor since Bobby Trybula on Nov. 3, 2003.
Holody played and started in 20 matches, earning seven points off three goals and one assist. Holody's three goals were second on the team, and his seven points were the highest by any Wolverine defender. The Clarkston, Mich., native earned 2006 Academic All-Big Ten and Big Ten all-tournament honors. Head coach Steve Burns named Holody as a captain for the 2007 season for his play and leadership. The rest of the captains will be selected by the team.
Julian Robles (Hacienda Heights, Calif./Damien HS) proved to be a huge asset in the defensive back half for the Wolverines and was recognized for his play with the Most Improved Player award.
For the second straight year, Michael Parke (Portage, Mich./Portage Central) was awarded the Jebson Family Academic Achievment Award, given to the player who excels in the classroom as well as on the field. Parke has played in 12 games for the Wolverines and has a cumulative grade point average of 3.93 majoring in business administration. In 2006, Parke was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District IV men's soccer first team along with the Academic All-Big Ten team.
Kevin Hall (Kalamazoo, Mich./Central) earned the Class of 2000 Memorial Team Player Award for the second year in a row. Hall played in 21 games and started 20 of them as he made his presence felt on the field as a defender along with scoring two goals. Hall is tied for first on U-Ms all-time games played list with 82 and was named to the 2006 Academic All-Big Ten and Michigan Invitational all-tournament teams.
The players, coaches, administration and parents also recognized the senior class for its work over the past four years. This year's senior class was Ryan Bennett (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer HS), Hall, Michael O'Reilly (Spring, Texas/Klein HS), Brian Popeney (Canton, Mich./Plymouth Salem HS), Kevin Savitskie (Plymouth, Mich./Salem HS) and Bobby Trybula (Loveland, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller HS).
