On the win over Cal Baptist ... "This morning played out how I thought it would. I knew we could get an early lead and then Cal Baptist would try to turn the game to their advantage. Our girls did a great job of staying patient and controlling the game. Even when it became a tie game and Cap Baptist continually tried to change the pace of the game, we still controlled the game. We had a strong fourth quarter. Cal Baptist had a lot of opportunities, but we did a very nice job on defense and Kristen Davis had a nice game. It was a tough game like I knew it would be and this is a good victory that we wanted and needed."
On the match with San Diego State and the outlook tomorrow ... "We played very well against San Diego State for the first 10-11 minutes. We were up on them and counterattacking, earning great looks. Then we hit a wall due to only the one-game rest in between games and you cant do that when you are playing an outstanding team like San Diego State. The better team won the game, but we did a nice job of staying with them in the first half. Overall, I am happy with how we played today and I look forward to getting the opportunity to play well tomorrow. We have Arizona State, who we had a tough loss to earlier this year, and our second game will be very competitive as well."
