Several Players to Represent U-M on Summer Leagues

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Members of the 2007 University of Michigan Big Ten Champion baseball team are spread across the country for summer action, and Wolverine fans can check out several leagues to follow their favorites.
The Wolverines have a pair of pitchers in the Cape Cod League, with RHP/DH Zach Putnam (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer HS) playing for the Chatham A's, while RHP Chris Fetter (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) is pitching for the Cotuit Kettlers.
There are six Wolverines playing in the Northwoods League, including three U-M players with the Alexandria Beetles (Alexandria, Minn.): OF/C Doug Pickens (West Bloomfield, Mich./Brother Rice), RHP Ben Jenzen (Grosse Pointe, Mich./South HS) and LHP Mike Wilson (Pickering, Ont./Pine Ridge Secondary).
RHP/3B Adam Abraham (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich./South HS), OF/RHP Alan Oaks (White Lake, Mich./Divine Child) and shortstop Jason Christian (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) are playing for the Mankato (Minnesota) MoonDogs in the Northwoods League.
Veteran 1B Nate Recknagel (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion) and RHP Michael Powers (St. Clair Shores, Mich./South Lake HS) are summer teammates for the Wilmington (North Carolina) Sharks in the Coastal Plain League.
1B Mike Dufek (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain HS) is playing for the Winchester Royals in the Valley Baseball League in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia.
LHP Eric Katzman (Harrington Park, N.J/Northern Valley Old Tappan HS) is pitching for the Sanford (Maine) Mariners in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Switch-hitting catcher Chris Berset (Vienna, Va./The Heights School) is playing for his hometown Vienna Senators in the Clark C. Griffith Collegiate Baseball League.
LHP Jeff DeCarlo (Medford, Mass./St. John's Prep) is pitching for the Grand Lake (Celina, Ohio) Mariners in the Great Lakes League, while SS Anthony Toth (Lorian, Ohio/St. Ignatius) is playing for Team Ohio.
Closer to home there are three Wolverines playing for the Michigan Rams in the Livonia Collegiate Wood Bat League: OF Mike Kittle (Clarkston, Mich./Clarkston), OF/IF Nick Urban (Whitehall, Mich./Whitehall) and LHP Sam Yashinsky (Farmington Hills, Mich./Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit).
