ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan baseball team's 2008 home opener, scheduled for Wednesday (March 19) against Oakland University, has been postponed due to wet grounds. The contest has been rescheduled for Monday (March 24) at 3:05 p.m. at the Wilpon Baseball and Softball Complex.

The rest of the Wolverines' schedule for the week remains intact for now, with games scheduled against Oakland on Thursday (March 20) at 3:05 p.m. and against IPFW on Friday (March 21) at 3:05 p.m.

The 2008 campaign marks U-M's inaugural season in the Wilpon Complex, home to historic Ray Fisher Stadium. The $9 million renovation to the stadium occurred thanks in large part to a gift from Fred and Judy Wilpon.
