
Taylor Wins Long Jump at Wilson Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Junior Casey Taylor(Chicago Heights, Ill./Marian Catholic) of the University of Michigan women's track and field team finished first in the long jump with a distance of 19-5 1/4 at the Alex Wilson Invitational Friday (March 7) at the Loftus Center. Taylor also competed in the triple jump Saturday (March 8), placing second with a 40-7.
Sophomore Charnee Lumbus(Cleveland, Ohio/Collinwood) was the other Wolverine to compete at the event. She ran the 60-meter hurdles in 8.54 seconds.
U-M will compete next Saturday and Sunday (March 14-15) at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. Competition will commence at 9:45 a.m.
