Wolverines Race Ohio State in Fall Action

BELLEVILLE, Mich. -- The University of Michigan rowing team continued fall action with a scrimmage against Ohio State on Saturday (Oct. 3) at Belleville Lake. The race was the second fall event for the Wolverines.
The teams raced 5X4 with one flight of eights. Michigan fielded three boats of even eights, while Ohio State fielded two boats of even eights. Michigan took top honors in each flight, while the Buckeyes were runners-up in four of the five pieces. In the last piece, the Wolverines claimed the top two spots.
The Wolverines will next race on Oct. 18 when they head to the prestigious Head of the Charles in Boston, Mass., before coming home to host the Belleville Classic on Nov. 7. The U-M novice team will then take on Michigan State in a fall scrimmage in East Lansing, Mich., on Oct. 18.
