FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Redshirt sophomore Allison Liske (Zeeland, Mich./Zeeland East) finished sixth in the shot put to lead a small group of throwers from the University of Michigan women's track and field team at the Tyson Invitational, held Friday and Saturday (Feb. 12-13) at Walker Pavilion.
Liske hit a provisional mark in the shot put for the fourth time this season, placing sixth with a career-best throw of 15.64m (51-03.75). Her previous best was 15.50 meters at the Simmons-Harvey Invitational earlier this season.
In the 20-pound weight throw, freshman Erin Pendleton (Lindsey, Ohio/Woodmore) was Michigan's top performer with a toss of 17.09 meters (56-01) to place 14th.
The Wolverines return home next weekend for the final time during the indoor season, hosting the Silverston Invitational (Saturday, Feb. 20). Action begins from the U-M Indoor Track Building at 10 a.m.
