Wolverines to be Featured by BTN Nine Times in 2010

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Big Ten Conference and the Big Ten Network announced today (Tuesday, Feb. 16) their plans for the network's coverage of the 2010 baseball and softball seasons. The University of Michigan baseball team and softball team will each be featured nine times.
Five baseball games will be streamed live via BigTenNetwork.com and three games will broadcast nationally on the network. Softball will garner a national television audience nine times with three web broadcasts and six network appearances.
The baseball team will make its debut on the Big Ten Network on Wednesday, April 7, when cross-state rival Central Michigan comes to town. Michigan's weekend series with Purdue, April 9-11, and Illinois, April 16-18, will be aired in their entirety. The Wolverines will also host Toledo on April 13 and Notre Dame on April 20 for non-conference matches on BigTenNetwork.com.
The network will also broadcast the entire Big Ten Baseball Tournament, which runs May 26-29 at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
Michigan's softball team will have five straight home games aired in late April. U-M's non-conference game against intrastate rival Central Michigan will be streamed on April 14, followed by a network showing of its Northwestern series, April 17-18, and a web broadcast of its midweek doubleheader with Penn State on April 21. The Wolverines will wrap up its BTN broadcasts on the road with a midweek doubleheader at Ohio State on April 28 and a weekend series at Iowa, May 14-15.
