# NCAA Provisional Time
N O T E S
It was a season-best time for the DMR squad, bettering the previous time of 11:13.69, notched at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational on Feb. 5.
It was the third time the DMR quartet has hit a provisional time.
U-M will participate in the 400-meter dash (Shana Vinson) and the shot put (Allison Liske, Emily Pendleton, Erin Pendleton) tomorrow (Saturday, March 6). There is a possibility Rebecca Addison and Jillian Smith will run the 800-meter run.
The meet is a "last chance meet", giving participants an opportunity to hit NCAA qualifying marks.

Associate Head Coach Mike McGuire
On the DMR and its chances for an NCAA bid ... "We got the time improvement today; we just do not know exactly where we are on a national scale. Kansas and Indiana were behind us heading into today and now they are ahead of us. We are probably somewhere between No. 8 and No. 10, but there are still some meets out there right now. We will just have to see what happens. Jill (Smith) gave us a lead on that first leg and Shana (Vinson) kept it. Becca (Addison) had a few people go past her and when it got to Danielle (Tauro); she was in fifth but moved us up at the end. We were solid, but thought we would run a little bit better. We are close to breaking into the 11:10 mark but can obviously do a little better."
