Erin Pendleton's win in the discus marks the second consecutive season that a Wolverine has won the event. Last season, her sister, Emily Pendleton, won the discus throw at the Drake Relays.
Charnee Lumbus advanced to the finals of the 100-meter hurdles.
Neither of U-M's relays (4x100, 4x400) advanced to tomorrow's finals.
Michigan will participate in the hammer throw, 400-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash and the sprint medley relay tomorrow (Saturday, April 24).
