Series Notes
Michigan improves to 24-18-3 at Ewigleben Ice Arena and 65-28-4 overall against Ferris State.
U-M won the season series with a mark of 3-0-1. The one tie ended up as a shootout loss.
Carl Hagelin has four goals and five assists in 10 career games against the Bulldogs.
Team Notes
Michigan earned its third weekend sweep of the season, all against CCHA opponents. U-M took two games at Bowling Green, two home games against Lake Superior State and this weekend's home-and-home series with Ferris State.
Michigan remains unbeaten on Saturdays this season, upping its record to 10-0-2.
Michigan scored three goals in a period for the third straight game and ninth time overall this season. U-M scored three times in the first stanza tonight after scoring three in the second frame last night.
Carl Hagelin and David Wohlberg scored 15 seconds apart in the first period for the fastest back-to-back goals by U-M this season. It is the third time this year Michigan has scored twice in less than a minute.
Scooter Vaughan scored his second shorthanded goal of the season and the team's fifth. Michigan also had five shorthanded goals in 2009-10.
Individual Notes
With a goal and an assist tonight, Carl Hagelin's point streak has reached seven games, establishing a season-best run. He has 6-8-14 totals during the streak.
Defenseman Lee Moffie has three goals in the last five games, his only three tallies of the season.
With a helper tonight, Matt Rust has eight assists in the last eight games. His 14 assists are tied for second on the team to Carl Hagelin (17).
Louie Caporusso had two assists, giving him 14 for the season. He is tied with Rust for second on the U-M roster.
David Wohlberg's tallies were his 10th and 11th of the season, surpassing his entire 2009-10 season total. He had 15 goals as a freshman in 2008-09. Wohlberg is the second Wolverine with double-digit goals -- Carl Hagelin has 13.
Scooter Vaughan earned the fourth multi-point game of his career and third this season with a goal and an assist.
Freshman Derek DeBlois scored the first goal of his career in his 10th career game. He has 1-4-5 totals.
