Q U O T E S
Michigan Head Coach Cheryl Stacy
On the Lady Puerto Rico Classic ... "We played against so many great teams that I wasn't sure what to expect. But if you look at our numbers, we played pretty well. We were not that far out from the top 10. We were only eight shots out from Auburn, and they are ranked 16th in the country right now. I was also very pleased with our freshmen. Each of them had a good round."
On getting quality experiences in such a strong field at the Lady Puerto Classic ... "It was great experience for us. The girls played with some of the best players in the country. I really think it helped build up their confidence that they can play with the best. They just need to believe in themselves. I love playing against the best teams. It's a great way to grow and learn."
On expectations at the Central District Classic ... "I think it will be a similar field as we saw here, as far as facing some top teams. But this tournament really helped build up our confidence and gain experience, especially since this was the first match back after not playing all winter. It helped get the rust off so we'll be ready to play better next week."
