QUOTES
Michigan Head Coach Matt Anderson
On the game ... "It became apparent early on that we were trying to get out of that game without any injuries, which is unfortunate. They had some girls out there crashing around and doing some things that were not characteristic of how you should be playing. I talked to the young ladies and told them to not get injured and to protect yourselves. Thankfully, the referees called a lot of offensive fouls and did the best they could. The freshmen stepped up and did a great job in the fourth quarter; Sarah Roberts stepped up and had a nice game. It was good. We didn't have to give anyone extended playing time and we got 18 players into the game. It is what it is; we are moving on and getting ready to face Maryland in the semifinals."
On the play of Sarah Roberts ... "She has everything you would like -- the size, the speed and she knows the game. She has put it all together and it makes us that much better."
On getting the freshmen some postseason experience ... "They were all nervous. We had played George Washington a few weeks earlier, but it is a different setting for the freshmen to get used to; you are at Easterns, cameras all around, the crowd is bigger. So it is good that were able to get out, play and be successful. They shouldn't be nervous anymore."
