With today's win, Michigan improved to 10-1 in the all-time series against Kent State.
Freshman Aidan Falk earned her first start at catcher; she has started 17 games at designated player. Junior Mary Sbonek earned her first career start at designated player today.
Michigan has hit multiple home runs in 10 games this season.
Junior Kelly Christner knocked out her sixth home run of the season, while freshman Tera Blanco tallied her third. Christner, junior Kelsey Susalla and junior Sierra Lawrence all own six home runs this season. Junior Sierra Romero leads the Wolverines with 10.
Christner boasts 11 multi-hit games this season, sharing the team lead with Lawrence and Romero.
Romero saw her streak to reaching base in 26 straight games halted today. She went 0-for-3.
Sophomore RHP Megan Betsa owns eight double-digit strikeout performances in her career. It is her first since fanning 11 against Georgia Tech on Feb. 13.
