Big Ten Network Schedule Announced for Conference Games

• 2015-16 U-M Men's Basketball Schedule
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- In conjunction with the Big Ten Conference and the Big Ten Network, the University of Michigan men's basketball team has released today (Tuesday, Sept. 15) the game times for BTN designated games. The television/game time schedule for the remaining conference slate will be released later this week.
Michigan could have as many as 10 appearances on BTN during the regular season, with eight confirmed appearances and two TV wildcard selections -- at Maryland (Feb. 21) and at Wisconsin (Feb. 28). With five non-conference games on the conference network, U-M could be seen up to 15 times on BTN.
The Wolverines will have five BTN games in January starting with the Big Ten home opener against Penn State on Jan. 2 at noon. The month closes with the Nittany Lions in a neutral site contest at Madison Square Garden in New York on Jan. 30 at noon. The Big Apple game will be part of a doubleheader as the U-M hockey team will face Penn State later that night.
With two wildcard games slated for February, U-M has confirmed BTN games at Minnesota (Feb. 10, 9 p.m. CST) and Northwestern (Feb. 24, 7 p.m.). U-M's TV wildcard at Maryland (Feb. 21) will be decided no later than Feb. 1. The wildcard game at Wisconsin (Feb. 28) should be decided by Feb. 15.
The conference regular season closes with a home contest against Iowa on March 5 at 8 p.m.
For the second year, the Big Ten Tournament will add an extra day of opening-round games on Wednesday, March 9, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The first round will be Thursday, March 10, with the quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games on March 11-13.
