
Student-Athlete Q&A with Anna Edgington

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Freshman Anna Edgington is an attacker from San Carlos, California, and would like to major in biopsychology, cognition and neuroscience. MGoBlue.com sat down with Edgington for a Q&A.
Q. Why did you choose the University of Michigan?
A. I was looking for a big school and somewhere out of California. I'm definitely excited to experience the seasons. It is great academically and Michigan has great athletics. The fall was really pretty, because the leaves don't change in California. I had other trips planned, but I canceled them.
Q. How did you get started playing water polo?
A. I started playing when I was in fourth grade. My friend got me into it. She asked me to go to a practice. I had never done swim team and it was hard at first.
Q. What is your dream job?
A. I would like to be an emergency room nurse
Q. What community service activities do you like to do?
A. We go to Mott Children's Hospital on Thursdays. I try to go every week.
Q. What is your favorite place on campus?
A. The law library. It looks like Hogwarts.
Q. What is one hobby you enjoy?
A. I am into hiking and like being outside.
Q. Who is the first person you call after a bad day?
A. My cousin who is a junior at Cal Poly.
Q. What was the last picture you took on your phone?
A. A really fat squirrel in the diag.
Q. What is your favorite Michigan sporting event to attend?
A. Football. I just really like college football. I grew up watching with my dad. I was really excited when ESPN College GameDay came. Seeing everyone go to the games in Michigan gear is really cool.
Q. What is your favorite follow on social media?
A. On Twitter I follow an account called Sassy Goats.
Q. What is your most prized possession?
A. Probably my phone because I can do so much with it. I listen to music walking to class, text, check my email, even do homework with it.
Q. What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
A. A baby pig because I really like teacup pigs.
