
Michigan Announces 2016 Schedule

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team announced Tuesday (June 28) its 2016 schedule, which features four contests against NCAA Tournament teams from 2015, 10 home matches and 12 matches against top-100 RPI teams. Additionally, four contests will be shown live via the Big Ten Network.
U-M begins its 2016 slate with a two-match trip to Florida, taking on the USF Bulls on Friday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m. and Florida Gulf Coast in a 7 p.m. match on Monday, Aug. 29.
The home portion of the ledger will commence on Friday, Sept. 2, as the Wolverines host the Columbia Lions at 5 p.m. in the team's annual Labor Day Tournament. The opening weekend wraps up with a tilt against the Yale Bulldogs on Monday, Sept. 5, at 1 p.m.
Additional matches of interest feature a midseason clash with the Michigan State Spartans in the Battle for Big Bear on Sunday, Sept. 18, at noon from East Lansing on the Big Ten Network, as well as a non-conference matchup vs. perennial power Notre Dame on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m. from U-M Soccer Stadium. The regular season closes out on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m., as U-M plays host to the Maryland Terrapins at 1 p.m. in a match that will be broadcast on live on BTN.
In addition to the Michigan State and Maryland matches, U-M's home contests vs. Indiana on Wednesday, Sept. 14 (7 p.m.), and against Penn State on Saturday, Oct. 2 (noon), will also be shown live on BTN.
The 2016 Big Ten Tournament commences on Nov. 5-6 with first-round and quarterfinal contests. The conference will then transition to a new tournament location, as the semifinals and final will take place Nov. 11-13 at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana.
Ticket Information: New general-admission season tickets are currently on-sale for only $35. Current season-ticket holder renewals for the 2016 season will be available in mid-July.
