
Michigan Announces 2018 Schedule

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan head coach Dr. Marcelo Leonardi announced the 2018 schedule on Friday (Sept. 22), highlighted by 10 home games.
The Wolverines will host two home tournaments Jan. 27-28 and March 3-4, and will also welcome Hartwick and Saint Francis for a pair of CWPA conference games on April 14.
Coming to Ann Arbor for the Michigan Invitational in January will be Hartwick, Marist, Pacific, UCLA, Wagner and the New York Athletic Club. The Wolverine Invitational will take place in early March with Azusa Pacific, Bucknell, CSUN, Iona and Long Beach State joining U-M at Canham Natatorium.
Michigan will open the season on the road at the UCSB Tournament, Jan. 20-21, in Santa Barbara, California. The Wolverines will make three more trips to California for nonconference tournaments, playing at the Stanford Invite in Palo Alto, Feb. 3-4, the Anteater Invite in Irvine, Feb. 23-25, and the LMU Invite in Los Angeles, March 16-17.
The Wolverines will go to Oneonta, New York, March 10-11, for three non-conference matchups against conference foes Brown, Princeton and host Hartwick.
Conference play will start out on March 31 when Michigan travels to Bloomington to take on Indiana. The following weekend the Wolverines will be in Boston for five games. U-M will have to play three games on April 7 against Brown, Bucknell and George Washington in a span of 10 hours. The next day U-M will take on Harvard and Saint Francis.
The CWPA Championship will be held in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, on the campus of Bucknell. Michigan will try to win its third straight conference title after hoisting the trophy in Boston in 2016 and Bloomington in 2017. The winner automatically qualifies for the NCAA Championship which will be held in Los Angeles on May 11-13.
