The No. 5 University of Michigan women's gymnastics team will face its first conference opponent of 2018 and look to raise awareness about developmental disabilities on Saturday (Jan. 13) at 6 p.m. when No. 29 Ohio State visits Crisler Center. Â
MEET INFO
• Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the meet will start at 6 p.m. with No. 5 Michigan hosting No. 29 Ohio State in Crisler Center as each team competes in its first conference meet of 2018.
• Michigan is 49-23 all-time against Ohio State with wins in 48 of the last 50 meetings. The only two losses since 1990 were last year in Columbus and at the 2012 Big Ten Championships.
PROMOTIONS
• Adaptive Gymnastics Meet: Join the Michigan women's gymnastics team in its fifth-annual Adaptive Gymnastics Meet as they work to raise awareness within the community about developmental disabilities.
• Pre-meet Concourse Activities: Be sure to arrive early as there will be a number of special activities on the concourse featuring various Michigan Athletics teams and local community organizations.
• Post-meet Autographs: Meet your favorite gymnasts as senior Lauren Marinez, junior Olivia Karas, sophomore Maggie O'Hara and freshman Sam Javanbakht will be signing autographs on the concourse following the meet. Be sure to pick up their official trading card during their autograph session.
• Kids Zone: Visit the Kids Zone on the concourse outside of Section 114 for fun-filled activities for kids, including face painting, block M face tattoos, a poster-making station and more! Also, bring your cameras for a picture with the Michigan gymnastics life-size cutouts.
• Free MCard Admission: All U-M faculty, staff and students can receive free admission by presenting their MCard at the Crisler Center ticket office beginning 90 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
• Group Tickets: Groups of 10 or more can purchase discounted tickets to any home meet. Discounted tickets are available by visiting MGoBlue.com/tickets or by calling the athletic ticket office at 734-764-0247.
• 10.0 Cards: Pick up your free Meijer Michigan 10.0 card at the promotions table located outside of Section 136 on the concourse and be sure to hold them up throughout the meet any time a Michigan gymnast records a great routine. **While Supplies Last**

LAST TIME OUT
• Michigan had a strong start to its season, scoring a 196.200 to knock off No. 4 Alabama in the season opener at home last Friday
• The team score was the fifth best in the nation week one with all four rotation scores ranking among the top 10
• Junior Olivia Karas earned Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honors for the fifth time in her career after winning the all-around with a score of 39.350. She also won floor exercise, dazzling the crowd with her 9.925 performance.
• Senior Brianna Brown led the team with a 9.900 on bars to garner Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week accolades.
• Junior Emma McLean continued her success on vault and floor, scoring 9.875 and 9.900, respectively, to rank in the top 10 nationally on both events.
• Freshmen Lauren Farley and Syd Townsend made their collegiate debuts.
• Overall, eight U-M gymnasts hit performances good enough to rank them among the top 30 nationally on any one of the four events. Three gymnasts combined for five top-10 rankings.
• Ohio State started the year with a score of 193.200 to rank No. 29 nationally. The Buckeyes have the No. 10-ranked floor rotation in the country.
