The No. 7 University of Michigan women's gymnastics team will Flip for Chip this Saturday (Feb. 10) at 4 p.m. in Crisler Center. The Wolverines will welcome Michigan State for the Big Ten battle.
MEET INFO
• Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. to the general public. The meet will start at 4 p.m. with No. 7 Michigan hosting No. 40 Michigan State in Crisler Center in a Big Ten Conference meet.
• Michigan and Michigan State will meet for the 109th time since 1977, with the Wolverines leading the series, 70-38. U-M has won the last 25 meetings in the series dating back to 2007 when the Spartans won at home. The last time MSU beat Michigan in Ann Arbor was 1993.
• The meet will be streamed online via BTN Plus and tickets will be sold at the door.
PROMOTIONS
• Flip for Chip -- Join the Michigan women's gymnastics team in its third-annual Flip for Chip meet as we honor the life of Chip Hills, father of Michigan student assistant coach Cailee Hills.
• Wear your colors -- All fans are encouraged to wear the color of the cause that has had an impact on their life. If you do not have a specific color to wear, please wear purple to support pancreatic cancer awareness along with the Wolverines. A full list of causes and the associated color can be found here. Â
• Giveaways -- Purple LED light sticks (first 2,500 fans)
• Postmeet autographs -- Meet your favorite gymnasts as selected members of the team will be signing autographs on the concourse following the meet. Be sure to pick up their official trading card during their autograph session.
• Kids Zone -- Visit the Kids Zone on the concourse for fun-filled activities for kids, including face painting, block M face tattoos, a poster-making station and more! Also, bring your cameras for a picture with the Michigan gymnastics life-size cutouts.
• Free MCard Admission -- All U-M faculty, staff and students can receive free admission by presenting their MCard at the Crisler Center ticket office beginning 90 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
• Group tickets -- Groups of 10 or more can purchase discounted tickets to any home meet. Discounted tickets are available by visiting MGoBlue.com/tickets or by calling the Athletics ticket office at 734-764-0247.
• 10.0 Cards -- Pick up your free Meijer Michigan 10.0 Card at the promotions table located outside of Section 136 on the concourse and be sure to hold them up throughout the meet any time a Michigan gymnast records a great routine. **While supplies last**
LAST TIME OUT
• The Wolverines returned home for a 196.875-195.050 win over No. 36 Maryland. Michigan improved to 3-0 at home in 2018.
• Brianna Brown won the all-around with a score of 39.425, her second career all-around victory.
• Paige Zaziski scored a 9.900 on vault, uneven bars and balance beam to win all three events. Her 9.900 was a career high on beam and her first beam title as a Wolverine. She earned her second vault title and eighth bars title since coming to Michigan.
• Emma McLean won floor exercise for the fourth consecutive meet with a score of 9.925. She matched her season average to take the crown.
• U-M had a season high on beam with a 49.325 and rebounded from a tough two meets on vault with a 49.275.
