
Wolverines to Return to Crisler to Host Indiana

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team (16-9, 7-6 Big Ten) returns home to Crisler Center on Thursday (Feb. 14), when it hosts Indiana (17-8, 6-7 Big Ten) in the second meeting of the two teams this season. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m.
• Michigan has won its last four games to get above .500 in Big Ten action for the first time this season at 7-6. It is the first four-game win streak in Big Ten action for U-M since winning six in a row from Jan. 10-28, 2018. It is the ninth time in school history that Michigan has won at least four consecutive Big Ten games.
• Michigan is back at Crisler Center to host Indiana in one of three remaining home games for the Maize and Blue this season. U-M is 10-1 at home this season after knocking off No. 13 Iowa and Nebraska in the last two home games. U-M's only loss at Crisler was a four-point decision to Michigan State on Jan. 27. Michigan has won at least 10 games at Crisler Center in six of head coach Kim Barnes Arico's seven seasons in Ann Arbor.
• Senior Hallie Thome is closing in on becoming the third member of the 2,000-point club at Michigan, entering Thursday's contest with 1,985 points. Thome is third all-time at Michigan in scoring and fifth in rebounding (824). Katelynn Flaherty (2,776) and Diane Dietz (2,076) are ahead of Thome on Michigan's all-time scoring list.
• Michigan and Indiana are meeting for the second time this season after the Hoosiers came away with a 70-60 win over Michigan in Bloomington, Indiana (Jan. 24). Michigan is 2-0 this season in the second game against an opponent after picking up wins over Iowa (Feb. 1) and Nebraska (Feb. 7). U-M also will face Michigan State and Wisconsin again this season. Michigan faced four of its five home-and-home opponents on the road first.
• Michigan has found a new way to win lately, winning three of its seven Big Ten contests by scoring in the 60s. Michigan has defeated Ohio State (62-58), Nebraska (67-61) and Penn State (66-62) without hitting the 70-point mark. U-M won just two Big Ten games over the previous two seasons (2016-17, 2017-18) without reaching 70.
• Indiana is coming to Ann Arbor after a 77-61 loss at Michigan State on Monday (Feb. 11). The Hoosiers have a trio of double-figure scorers in Ali Patberg (15.4 ppg), Jaelynn Penn (14.0 ppg) and Brenna Wise (12.3 ppg). Indiana is scoring 70.7 points per contest on 43.4 percent shooting while allowing 64.6 points per game on 39.3 percent shooting. Indiana won the earlier meeting this season between the two teams, 70-60, in Bloomington on Jan. 24.
