
Wolverines Return Home for Pink Game Against Nebraska

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team (14-9, 5-6 Big Ten) returns home to Crisler Center to host Nebraska (10-12, 5-6 Big Ten) in its annual pink game on Thursday (Feb. 7). The game is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.
• The game against Nebraska marks Michigan's pink game, with the players wearing pink shoes, pink accessories and white uniforms with pink trim. The coaching staff also will be wearing pink shoes. Michigan is in the midst of playing in four pink games this month, with its upcoming games at Penn State (Feb. 10) and Illinois (Feb. 17) also pink games. As has become tradition, Michigan will have breast cancer survivors meet with the team and the group will announce Michigan's starting lineup at the game on the scoreboard.
• Michigan and Nebraska are meeting for the second time this season after the Huskers started Big Ten action with a 70-56 win over Michigan in Lincoln (Dec. 28). Michigan is 1-0 this season in the second game against an opponent after picking up a win over Iowa in the teams' second meeting (Feb. 1). U-M also will face Indiana, Michigan State and Wisconsin again this season.
• Michigan is back at Crisler Center to host Nebraska, marking U-M's 11th home game of the season. The Wolverines are 9-1 at home after last week's 90-81 win over No. 13 Iowa (Feb. 1).
• Senior Hallie Thome is closing in on becoming the third member of the 2,000-point club at Michigan, entering Thursday's contest with 1,976 points. Thome is third all-time at Michigan in scoring and fifth in rebounding (824). Katelynn Flaherty (2,776) and Diane Dietz (2,076) are ahead of Thome on Michigan's all-time scoring list.
• Michigan has gotten some major contributions from the freshman duo of Amy Dilk and Naz Hillmon. Dilk has started all 23 games for the Maize and Blue, ranking 11th in the Big Ten among freshmen in scoring (7.7 ppg) and first in assists (4.5 per game). Dilk has scored in double figures seven times this season after turning in 13 points against Michigan State (Jan. 27). Hillmon is second among Big Ten freshmen in scoring (12.7 ppg), fourth in rebounding (6.6 rpg) and first in field-goal percentage (.674). Hillmon has four double-doubles and has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week four times this season.
• Nebraska (10-12, 5-6 Big Ten) is coming off an 82-78 loss to Indiana at home on Sunday (Feb. 3). The Huskers have a pair of double-figure scorers in Hannah Whitish (10.2 ppg) and Sam Haiby (10.0 ppg) as Nebraska features eight players that average at least 7.1 points per game. Nebraska is averaging 73.6 points per game on 42.7 percent shooting while allowing 69.4 points per contests on 40.5 percent shooting. Nebraska leads the all-time series against Michigan, 13-4, after recording a 70-56 win in Lincoln earlier this season (Dec. 28).
