
Michigan to Welcome Iowa for Enchanted Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan women's gymnastics team will host Iowa on Sunday (Feb. 10) at 2 p.m. in an Enchanted Meet at Crisler Center. Â
Enchanted Meet
• Enchanted Day -- All kids are encouraged to dress as their favorite princess, superhero or fictional character. Arrive early as characters will be on the concourse for photos prior to the meet.
Promotions
• Giveaway -- All children in 8th grade and under can select between a light-up crown, light-up fairy wand or light-up saber. Available while supplies last.

• Postmeet Autographs -- Meet your favorite gymnasts as select members of the team will be signing autographs on the concourse following the meet, and be sure to pick up their official trading card during their autograph session.
Facing Iowa
• Michigan and Iowa will meet for the 63rd time with the Wolverines leading 55-7 in the all-time series against the Hawkeyes.
• It will be the first time Michigan has hosted Iowa since 2016 as the last six meetings have come on the road or at neutral sites.
• U-M has won the last 15 matchups dating back to a loss on the road in 2011.
• Michigan has never lost to Iowa in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines are 12-0 all-time against the Hawkeyes at home.
• Iowa is 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the Big Ten.
Last Time Out
• Michigan improved to 3-0 in the Big Ten and 7-2 overall with a 196.500-195.700 win over No. 13 Nebraska; U-M's score in the meet is a season high.Â
• The Wolverines posted season highs on both the uneven bars (49.300) and floor exercise (49.300).
• Senior Olivia Karas scored a 9.950 on the final floor routine to give U-M the victory. She won the event for the third straight meet and took her first all-around title of the season with a score of 39.400.
• Freshman Natalie Wojcik added two more event titles to her season total, winning bars with a personal best 9.925 and beam with a 9.875. She also scored a 9.900 on floor for the second straight meet.
• Freshman Abby Brenner matched her personal bests on both bars (9.875) and floor (9.850).
Big Ten Race
• Through three weekends of Big Ten Conference competition, there is a three-way tie for first place with Michigan, Ohio State and Minnesota all starting the season with a 3-0 record in the league.
• This weekend, Ohio State is at Maryland on Friday and Minnesota is at Nebraska on Saturday.Â
Winning Titles
• Wojcik has won at least two individual events in all five meets this season, tallying 12 total. She also has won the all-around four times and balance beam in all five meets.
• She has posted a 9.900 on all four events at some point this season and has twice hit the 39.625 mark in the all-around.
• In the rankings, Wojcik is No. 10 in the all-around, No. 5 on beam and tied for 18th on bars.
Maxim Joins Lineup
• Sophomore transfer Anne Maxim made her Michigan debut on the uneven bars at Maryland with a 9.700 and was back in the lineup against Nebraska, improving her score to a 9.825.
Floor Dominance
• Olivia Karas has won floor exercise in each of the last three meets, improving her score each time.
• She matched a career high with a 9.950 last weekend against Nebraska and had a 9.925 the previous meet at Maryland.
• Karas has gradually returned to full strength over the last four meets, adding in her more difficult skills to make her floor routine complete.
In the Rankings
• U-M remained at No. 10 in the latest rankings.
• The Wolverines fell six spots on vault to No. 11, moved up one spot to No. 10 on bars, stayed at No. 11 on beam and improved four spots on floor to No. 20.
• Wojcik is ranked on bars and beam as well as the all-around. Karas is ranked tied for 49th on bars, tied for 37th on floor and is tied for 25th in the all-around.
• Senior Emma McLean is No. 9 on vault, and Brenner is tied for 25th on vault.
Home Slate
• Michigan has one final regular season home meet remaining after hosting Iowa. The Wolverines will host No. 1 Oklahoma on Saturday, March 9 at noon on Senior Day. Seniors Emma McLean and Olivia Karas will be honored following the conclusion of the meet. Â
