Quinn Hughes (March 12)
Big Ten Finalist Awards -- Sophomore defenseman Quinn Hughes was named a finalist for the Big Ten Player of the Year and Defenseman of the Year awards. Hughes led Michigan with 33 points this season (five goals, 28 assists) which ranked first among defensemen in the Big Ten. His 28 assists are the eighth most among all skaters in the country and fourth among defenseman.
Nolan Moyle (Feb. 26)
Big Ten First Star of the Week -- Nolan Moyle recorded three goals on the weekend (Feb. 22-23) to help the Wolverines go 1-0-1 against No. 6 Ohio State. The freshman forward scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner, in Friday's come-from-behind 4-2 victory. On Saturday, he netted the game-tying goal midway through the third period to send the game to overtime. » Big Ten Release
Will Lockwood (Feb. 12)
Big Ten Second Star of the Week -- Will Lockwood was tied for third in the Big Ten with four points (2G, 2A) last weekend to help the Wolverines sweep in-state rival Michigan State. He netted the eventual game-winning goal and recorded two helpers in Friday's 5-3 win in Ann Arbor, while recording the second goal for Michigan on the power play in Saturday's 5-2 win in Detroit for the annual Duel in the D. Quinn Hughes, Josh Norris (Jan. 16)
Hobey Baker Award Nominees -- Sophomore defenseman Quinn Hughes and sophomore forward Josh Norris are among the initial nominees for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award. Hughes leads Michigan with 22 points (three goals, 19 assists), which ranks fifth highest among defensemen in the NCAA. His 19 assists are second most among all skaters in the country and the most among defensemen. Norris has recorded 19 points (10G, 9A) in 17 games played for the Maize and Blue and is tied for a team high in goals and second in points behind Hughes. His 10 goals rank 30th in the nation and tie him for third most within the Big Ten. The first round of Hobey Baker Award fan voting will run through March 10. » Vote Here
Jake Slaker (Nov. 20)
Big Ten Second Star of the Week -- Jake Slaker recorded four points on two goals and two assists to help the Wolverines split the weekend series at No. 5 Penn State. Slacker netted a pair of goals in Michigan's come-from-behind win on Friday (Nov. 16), including the game-winner and the primary assist on the first goal in the third period to start the comeback. He also tallied a helper in Saturday's (Nov. 17) contest. The Academic All-Big Ten honoree claims his third career weekly award and first since Oct. 24, 2017 (Second Star). » Big Ten Release
Josh Norris (Oct. 30)
Big Ten Second Star of the Week – Josh Norris posted back-to-back multi-point games to help the Wolverines sweep St. Lawrence over the weekend (Oct. 26-27). He recorded an assist on the first goal of the night on Friday and scored the team's third goal in the series-opening 3-1 victory. Norris found the back of the net for the Wolverines' first goal on Saturday before adding a helper on the eventual game-winner.
