
Brewer Named Baseball America Third Team All-American

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Junior outfielder Jordan Brewer of University of Michigan baseball team was named to the Baseball America All-America third team on Monday (June 10).
A St. Joseph, Michigan native, Brewer is the 2019 Big Ten Player of the Year and helped lead the Wolverines to their first College World Series since 1984.
Brewer leads the team in hitting with a .338 batting average to go with 12 home runs, 55 runs batted in, 19 doubles and 55 runs scored. He has also showcased his speed with 24 stolen bases and his arm with 11 outfield assists.
A first-team All-Big Ten selection, Brewer has 24 multi-hit games and has a hit in 41 of his 55 games this season. During conference play, Brewer hit .358 with four home runs, 20 RBI, seven doubles and five stolen bases as Michigan finished second in the regular-season standings by a half of a game behind Indiana.
Brewer is one of 12 players in school history to be named to the Baseball America All-America teams with Rich Stoll the only player to do so two seasons. Brewer is the first since 2008 when designated hitter Nate Rechnagel earned second-team honors.
