Paige Jones (Nov. 11)
Big Ten Player of the Week -- Sophomore Paige Jones continued her tear on Big Ten opponents last week, finishing with 38 kills (4.75 kills per set) at a .298 hitting clip while adding 19 digs and four service aces in a pair of Michigan wins. The pin hitter started the week by tying her career high in kills with 26 against rival Michigan State (Nov. 6). Jones completed the double-double with 14 digs while adding two block assists, one ace and one assist. She followed with a 12-kill, three-ace outing in the Wolverines' second victory this season over No. 21 Illinois (Nov. 9). The sophomore is third in the Big Ten in kills per set (3.83) this season while hitting .264, has had double-digit kill efforts in 13 of 14 conference matches, and owns three double-doubles in the last four outings. The award marks the first Big Ten Player of the Week honor in Jones' career; she was named Freshman of the Week once in 2018. » Big Ten Release
May Pertofsky (Oct. 7)
Co-Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- For the second consecutive week, freshman May Pertofsky was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, this time sharing the award with Illinois' Diana Brown. The middle blocker put together a strong week for the Wolverines, averaging 3.50 kills per set with a .356 attack percentage in Michigan's two sweeps. Pertofsky had 11 kills and hit .333 at Maryland, while tying a career-best four aces. The Los Angeles, California, native followed that performance with 10 kills on .375 hitting, while also adding five blocks and four digs in the sweep at Ohio State. » Big Ten Release
May Pertofsky (Sept. 30)
Big Ten Freshman of the Week -- Middle blocker May Pertofsky was named the conference's Freshman of the Week after providing a dominating presence at the net during Michigan's perfect start to Big Ten play. Pertofsky's four total blocks at Rutgers (Sept. 25) combined with six more against Ohio State (Sept. 29) gave her a 1.67 blocks-per-set average for the week and brought her season mark to 0.91. The Los Angeles, California, native added 17 kills and three aces during the week as the Wolverines held Rutgers and Ohio State to a combined .090 attack percentage. » Big Ten Release
