Wolverines and Scarlet Knights
• This will be the seventh meeting between Michigan and Rutgers, two of college football's oldest programs.
• The Wolverines lead the all-time series, 5-1, with victories in the last five matchups.
• Rutgers won the inaugural meeting at home in 2014, and Michigan claimed victories at Michigan Stadium in 2015, 2017 and 2019, and won on the road during the 2016 and 2018 seasons.

Game Notes Nuggets
• Michigan boasts four players on the roster who call the Garden State home: defensive backs Brad Hawkins (Camden), Jordan Morant (Parsippany), R.J. Moten (Delran) and Hunter Reynolds (South Orange).
• New Jersey native Brad Hawkins leads the defense with 31 tackles (18 solo), including a season-high 12 against Indiana on Nov. 7.
• Wide receiver Ronnie Bell has 18 catches for 325 yards and one TD this season, including eight receptions of 20-plus yards. He led the team with four catches for 56 yards against Wisconsin, and now has four catches or more in each game this season and five straight contests dating back to 2019.
Defensive back Gemon Green is second in the Big Ten and 10th nationally in passes defended (1.5 avg.). He also set a career high in tackles Saturday night with six solo stops.
Punter Brad Robbins continues to be a weapon for U-M. He leads the Big Ten and is sixth nationally in punting average (47.2 yards), and allowed just nine return yards last weekend -- 14 total on 16 punts this season.
Senior defensive end Kwity Paye was nominated for a pair of awards last week. On Friday (Nov. 13), he was one of 30 nominees for the Senior CLASS Award, which celebrates loyalty and achievement for school, honoring those who have notable achievements in the areas of community, classroom, character and competition. On Thursday (Nov. 12), Paye was one of 25 players named to the Ted Hendricks Award Watch List. The Ted Hendricks Award is presented annually to the top defensive end in college football.
Senior linebacker Adam Shibley was named a nominee for the Wuerffel Trophy on Nov. 10. The Wuerffel Trophy is presented annually to honor college football players who serve others, celebrate their positive impact on society and inspire greater service in the world.

• Michigan is averaging 377.3 yards per game of total offense -- 117.0 yards rushing and 260.3 yards passing. The Wolverines have gained more than 450 yards of total offense in two games this season: 481 yards at Minnesota and 452 vs. Michigan State.
• Michigan's three starting linebackers are among the top five tacklers on the team. Josh Ross (30), Michael Barrett (29) and Cameron McGrone (25) have totaled 25 stops or more this season.
• Young players continue to see the field for the Wolverines. The following players made debuts against Wisconsin: defensive lineman Joey George, running back Danny Hughes (special teams), defensive lineman Kris Jenkins, defensive back Quinten Johnson (special teams), defensive lineman Mike Morris, and R.J. Moten. Through the first four games, 21 Wolverines have made their collegiate debuts.
Defensively, sophomore lineman Mazi Smith, and freshman linebackers Kalel Mullings and Nikhai Hill-Green made their first career tackles vs. the Badgers.
• Wide receiver and return man Giles Jackson had two of U-M's more explosive plays on the day, including a 36-yard sideline fade from quarterback Joe Milton. Jackson leads U-M with nine plays of 20-plus yards this season (seven via return). Bell (eight) is next on the list.
• Defensive back Daxton Hill made a career-best 11 tackles with seven of them solo stops against Wisconsin. Hill is up to 28 tackles on the year, fourth among all defenders.
• Kicker Quinn Nordin continues his record-setting Michigan career. His 46-yard field-goal conversion last weekend gave him 12 consecutive makes dating back to last season, the second-longest active streak nationally. Only University of Texas at San Antonio kicker Hunter Duplessis has more consecutive conversions (13).
• Also, Nordin took sole possession of the Michigan record for most made field goals of 40 yards or longer (14).
• In on two stops last weekend, wide receiver Jake McCurry continues to be a special-teams tackles leader along with safety Brad Hawkins (two tackles).

Start time and network designation for Michigan's game vs. Penn State on Saturday, Nov. 28 will be announed late Saturday (Nov. 21) or Sunday morning (Nov. 22).
