The University of Michigan men's tennis team (2-1, 2-0 Big Ten) takes its unblemished Big Ten record on the road this weekend, stopping in Bloomington to face Indiana (1-1, 1-1 Big Ten) on Saturday (Feb. 27) and West Lafayette, Ind., on Sunday (Feb. 28) to take on Purdue (1-1, 1-1 Big Ten). Both matches are slated for noon starts.
Wolverine Bites
• Michigan is 2-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Big Ten after posting matching 6-1 wins over Wisconsin and Minnesota last weekend.
• Michigan moved up one place to No. 14 in the latest Oracle/ITA poll released Wednesday (Feb. 24).
• Andrew Fenty is 2-0 at No. 1 singles and ranked No. 14. He has a 33-7 record in duals in his career.
• No. 28-ranked Ondrej Styler won his two matches last weekend in straight sets and has won his last four matches.
• Mattias Siimar won both of his matches this past weekend at No. 3 and No. 4, while Patrick Maloney is 1-0 at No. 3.
• Nick Beaty is on a tear with six straight singles wins and is 2-0 in dual matches, winning both in straight sets playing at No. 4 and 5.
• Freshman Jacob Bickersteth won at both No. 5 and 6 singles last weekend and is on a four-match win streak.
• The No. 2-ranked doubles team of Andrew Fenty/Mattias Siimar is 1-1 on the season. The duo is 14-3 at No. 1 doubles since pairing up last season.

U-M's has been even better against Purdue, having won the last 16-matches against the Boilermakers dating back to 2004. Michigan leads, 75-10, in the all-time series against Purdue.
About the Opponents
Indiana opened the season last weekend with a split on the road, falling, 5-2, at Iowa before recovering with a 6-1 win at Nebraska. No. 48-ranked Bennett Crane split his two matches at No. 1 singles -- falling to his higher-ranked Iowa opponent in straight sets before a win over an unranked foe at Nebraska. Andrew Redding is 1-1 at No. 2, while Vikash Singh is 0-2 playing at No. 3 and 4. Luka Vukovic and Michael Andrea are both 2-0 mixing between Nos. 4, 5 and 6. Crane and Andre are the only doubles team that has played twice together this season, going 1-1.
Purdue had a similar result with a 4-3 win at Nebraska on Friday (Feb. 19) followed by a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Iowa on Sunday (Feb. 20). Mateo Julia, Sebastian Welch and Michael Wozniak all split matches at No. 1, 2 and 3 singles over the weekend, as did Milledge Cossu at No. 6. Santiago Galan and Tomasz Dudek went 0-2 at No. 4 and 5, respectively. The Boilermakers have yet to win a doubles match this season.
