ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 12-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team (13-3, 8-3 Big Ten) returns home for the first of two straight at Crisler Center to end the regular season, first hosting No. 8 Maryland (19-2, 15-1 Big Ten) on Thursday (March 4) at noon. The game will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.

Wolverine Notes
• Michigan is back at Crisler Center for the first time since a 75-66 win over Ohio State on Feb. 21. U-M is 8-0 at home this season, including a 5-0 Big Ten mark at Crisler. U-M is averaging 81.9 points per game on 47.7 percent shooting at home, while allowing 62.1 points per game on 36.8 percent shooting to its opponents.
• The Wolverines, who stayed at No. 12 in the Associated Press poll this week, are facing their fifth ranked opponent of the season in No. 8 Maryland. U-M is 2-2 against top-25 foes this season, earning wins over then-No. 15 Northwestern and then-No. 15 Ohio State. U-M has five wins in program history against the No. 8-ranked team in the AP poll. It is the third time Michigan is facing Maryland as the No. 8-ranekd team, with the last time coming in a one-point Terrapin win in the semifinals of the 2019 Big Ten Tournament.
• Senior Hailey Brown has been heating up from behind the arc the last three games, hitting five triples on 62.5 percent shooting. She was 3-for-4 from long range against Iowa (Feb. 25), her first game with three triples since making three at Notre Dame on Dec. 3. For her career, she has made 130 three-pointers on 36.4 percent shooting from downtown. Her 130 three-pointers rank 11th all-time at U-M.
• Juniors Naz Hillmon and Leigha Brown have combined to form a formidable duo in their first season together. The pair combines to average 44.5 points per game, with both players shooting at least 54 percent from the field. Hillmon is going for 25.8 points per game on 64.9 percent shooting, with Brown adding 18.7 points per contest on 54.0 percent shooting. There have been five games this season in which both Hillmon and Brown have topped the 20-point mark. Despite Brown missing four games, the pair accounts for 51.0 percent of Michigan's scoring this season. Hillmon ranks second in the Big Ten in scoring, while Brown ranks sixth. They are the second-highest scoring duo in the conference.
• Michigan has been effective on the glass, outrebounding its opponents in all but two games this season. U-M is sixth nationally and leads the Big Ten in rebounding margin at +12.8. U-M also leads the conference in rebounding offense (43.3) and rebounding defense (30.5). U-M has three players grabbing at least five boards a game in Big Ten-leading Naz Hillmon (11.2 rpg), Amy Dilk (5.1 rpg) and Akienreh Johnson (6.4 rpg). Maryland is second in the conference in rebounding margin at +8.2
• No. 8-ranked Maryland (19-2, 15-1 B1G) comes to Ann Arbor on an eight-game win streak after knocking off Northwestern, 62-50, last time out. The Terps are averaging 91.7 points per game on 48.6 percent shooting while allowing 71.1 points per game on 41.2 percent shooting. The Terps feature six players scoring in double figures in Ashley Owusu (18.9 ppg), Diamond Miller (17.7 ppg), Katie Benzan (14.8 ppg), Chloe Bibby (13.3 ppg), Angel Reese (11.7 ppg) and Mimi Collins (10.0 ppg). Maryland leads the all-time series, 8-1, with Michigan's lone win coming in Ann Arbor during the 2017-18 season.
Last Time Against Maryland
• The Wolverines suffered a 77-49 setback against No. 17 Maryland on January 12, 2020, at Crisler Center.
Naz Hillmon led the Wolverines with 15 points and pulled down five rebounds, while Kayla Robbins had 11 points and eight rebounds to go along with two blocks and three steals in 26 minutes.
Akienreh Johnson added seven points and Amy Dilk had five rebounds and two blocks. Michigan forced 17 Maryland turnovers and turned them into 11 points.
