The graduate student eventually settled into third and held his position through the finish line for his second top-five result in as many conference meets.
Owen MacKenzie made the most of his Big Ten Championships debut by leading at the 2K mark and third behind Brady at the 4K mark, before finishing eighth overall with a mark of 24:36.2.
Caleb Jarema put on a strong showing, capturing 11th by clocking a 24:39.0. Both MacKenzie and Jarema earned All-Big Ten second team honors for their efforts.
